How to clone a page in Drupal?

Why?

You want to copy an existing page in the same country or in another country in order to make some modifications afterwards instead of creating a new page from scratch and so save some time.

Before you start

The page you want to make the copy from has to be finalized. The modifications applied to the original won't be applied automatically to the copy.

How?

Select in the country node, the page you want to copy

Click on clone

Click on save

You want to use the copy in the same country as the original

Open the clone of the page and make the amendments you want/need

P.S. Pay attention to the fact that the menu settings have to be set-up again.

You want to use the copy in a different country as the original

Go to the level of the copy and select "delete relation"

Confirm the action by clicking on delete

Select and open the node of the country in which you want to important the page

Click on Add existing content (on the top right of your screen)

Select what the type of page the original page was

Type the name of the page

Click on save

The page appears now in the node of the new country

Don't forget to:

  • Select the language of the new country when editing the page
  • Set-up the menu settings again
