This playbook complements the On Page SEO Checklist and provides guidance for launching new pages without SEO issues.
Follow these steps to ensure every page is optimized for search visibility, relevance, and performance:
- Identify Target Keywords
- Optimize Meta Title
- Optimize Meta Description
- Optimize Headline (H1)
- Incorporate Changes in Drupal
- Monitor Functionality
- Final Check
1. Identify Target Keywords
- Go to SharePoint and find the commercial keyword list for your country.
- If your country is not listed yet, we are still working on the keyword list. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
- The list shows keywords mapped to all commercial pages. Filter for a URL and review all keywords.
- Choose the top 3 keywords per page based on relevance, search volume, language (prefer local over English), and your judgment.
- These keywords will be used consistently across meta title, meta description, H1, and slug (see next steps).
- Each page should have unique keywords.
2. Optimize Meta Title
- Use the On-page SEO template to simplify the process. Each row represents a page. There are already 2 examples in the document for guidance.
- Work from left to right. Fill in the page URL and the 3 priority keywords (from step 1).
- Create a new meta title including your keywords, staying below 60 characters.
- Detailed instructions are in the template.
- Below, you will find an optional AI Prompt. Simply paste it into an AI tool, fill in the four input fields at the top, and run it.
INPUT:
target keyword 1:
target keyword 2:
target keyword 3:
language:
PROMPT:
You are an SEO marketing specialist.
Write 3 meta title options (aim for 50–60 characters including “| SD Worx”) for a webpage about {{target keyword 1}} in {{language}}.
Rules:
1. {{target keyword 1}} is mandatory. It must appear in all 3 titles.
2. Try to include {{target keyword 2}} and/or {{target keyword 3}} naturally if they fit within the 50–60 character limit.
3. Capitalize the first letter of each word.
4. End with "| SD Worx" (included in the 50–60 character count).
5. You may use ":" or "-" to separate clauses or improve readability.
6. Prioritize clarity, keyword coverage, and click appeal over strict symmetry.
Return only the 3 meta titles as plain text, each on a new line, without numbering or explanations.

- Option 2: Save time – Submit a Digital Marketing Request and attach the completed template. The digital team will handle the updates for you.
6. Monitor Functionality
Use Monsido (Acquia Web Governance) to check for 404 errors and broken links on newly published pages.
7. Final Check
Notify me whenever you launch a new page for a final review.
Notes / Best Practices:
- Consistency: Use the same target keywords across meta title, meta description, H1, and URL.
- Uniqueness: Each page must have unique keywords.
- Quality Control: AI-generated metadata and H1s are starting points. Always review and refine before publishing.
