Overview - 5x4 Inbound model

Today we are utilizing a Global SD Worx inbound model, which each country can make use of. This document is meant to clarify the model as well as any naming convention or structure we define in Salesforce and Pardot.

This is meant as a guide when new additions of content will be added.

This is ONLY for gated content, e-books, whitepapers, and full campaigns or other types that are ongoing material or does not need to generate an SRO directly. Keep in mind that every action that the prospect take will attribute to the inbound model. If this is not your goal. Place it in the "Other" folder in Pardot.

Quick recap: What model?

SD Worx portfolio blueprint that entails both 5 main HR categories:

  • Core HR,
  • Payroll & Rewards,
  • Staffing & Recruitment,
  • Workforce Management
  • Talent & careers.

Together with the 4 capabilities: Technology, Outsourcing, Expertise, and Insights. In the context of the Marketing Automation setup, we will use mainly the 5 categories.

How will this work?

In Pardot

We provided each country with a folder called INBOUND (5x4 model) and for each of these categories, there is a subfolder within it. See image. When the contact interacts with one of the assets hosted in those folders (pdf, form submission, clicks, opens, etc.). They will receive a score in that specific domain. See article: Automated scoring

Never move these folders to a different place!

To Salesforce!

When the prospect, lead, or contact is interested in content behind a gated form, it will be mandatory to send them to the corresponding Salesforce child campaign.

Each contact that is existing in Salesforce, will get access to a global inbound score that sums all the category scores. And a global category that shows which one of the five weighs the most, which will make us able to:

  • Give insights to Sales,
  • Utilize in selections or have an extra set of prospects for campaigns,
  • Have automatic SRO creation when a certain score threshold is reached.
  • Getting a better understanding of our channels.
  • ...

All of this information can be found on the contact level, in the section "Pardot Scores per Category (rollup on Contact)".

If no score is present, this person will not have accumulated any scores. Or is even not yet present in Pardot.
