Naming convention Campaigns & Assets

A naming convention for campaigns and assets is essential to make sure our tools remain well organized and you can easily find your campaigns or assets.

The naming convention will be as follows: <country code> <campaign code> <descriptive name> <language code>* <asset type>

* Remark: the <language code> is only necessary for countries in which we communicate in multiple languages.

Country codes

2 digits, in all caps

-> BE/NL/DE/FR/LU/UK/AT...

Campaign codes

With owner: <YEAR><CAMPAIGN OWNER/SEGMENT><NUMBER>

-> Two digits for year, two initials for owner, three digits for number

->Example: 23RW001

-> Example : 23GET001

-> NO spaces!

Ownerless: <TYPE> (usually continuous/ongoing campaigns)

-> TEST (testing)

-> TRNG (training)

-> TEMP (templates)

-> INFO (marketing generic/ongoing)

Descriptive name

This should be a short description of the item you are creating (aim to stay below 25 characters)

Asset types (Only for Pardot)

LIST (lists)

[No asset type] (for campaigns)

AUTO (automation rules)

MAIL (emails)

PAGE (landing pages)

FORM (forms & form handlers)

ENGA (engagement studios)

DYNC (dynamic content)

LINK (custom redirect)

[EXTENSION] + [RESOLUTION width-height] (images)

[EXTENSION] (other files)

Email template: BE TEMP Commercial NL MAIL

Campaign: BE 23RW001 Quiz Ellla NL

Page: BE 23RW001 Quiz Ella FR PAGE
